Sadie Belle Howard Badgett

Jun 01, 2010 - 08:35:24 pm CDT RUFFIN - Mrs. Sadie Belle Howard Badgett of 985 Ashland Road died Tuesday. As a native and lifelong resident of Caswell County, she was a graduate of Caswell County Training School, Class of 1947 and was a retiree of Burlington Industries. Mrs. Badgett was a faithful member of Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church where she served with the Senior Choir, Widow's Organization, Communion Committee, Missionary Circle, Past President of Senior Choir, Mother of the Church and former member of the Board of Ushers. In the community, she was a member of the Pride of Locust Hill, Order of Eastern Star No. 624 and the Senior Citizens of Yanceyville.

Survivors are: beloved husband of 63 years, Henry Badgett; three daughters, Anne Gregory (Toney), Rhonda Badgett, Marceai Foster (Antonio); one son, Henry Badgett, Jr. (Helen); three grandchildren, Michael Gregory, Machon Gregory (Renee), Brittney Foster; great-grandchild, Alicia Colon; two sisters, Beulah Seaborn and Cleo Voss (Rufus); two sisters-in-law, Alice Howard and Olivia Howard; brother-in-law, William Badgett (Cleo); other relatives and a multitude of cherished friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday from the Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 6038 Park Springs Road, Pelham. Rev. Gregory L. Hopkins will preside and interment will follow in the New Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery. The family visitation will be Monday from 10:30 until 11:00 a.m. at the church.
