Burlington, N.C. - Hollis Rice "Ricky" Bigelow, 56, of 208 E. Fifth Street, Burlington, N.C. died Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at his residence. A native of Caswell County, N.C., he was employed by the City of Burlington, and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Conyers Bigelow of the home; daughter, Zsa Zsa Monique Conyers of Burlington, N.C.; grandchildren, Tionna McKenney, Jaheim McKenney, and Jalen McKenney, all of Burlington, and Kayla McKenney of Florida; sisters, Judy Corbett of Yanceyville, N.C., Margaret Mitchell and husband King of Burlington, N.C., Janet Royal and husband Ralph of Greensboro, N.C.; brothers, Ervin Bigelow and wife Geneva of Yanceyville, N.C. and Kenneth Bigelow and wife Coretta of Winston-Salem, N.C.; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hollis Preston Bigelow and Mary Fuller Bigelow; sister, Clarice Poole; and brother, Willard Bigelow. The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Friendship Baptist Church by the Rev. Tommy Cook, Pastor and the Rev. Ricky Lowe, Associate Pastor.
