(click on article for larger image) Of interest to many in Danville will be the marriage of Miss Mary C. Stokes of Ruffin and Nat H. Swann, of Pelham, which is to take place in the Methodist Episcopal church, at Ruffin, Saturday evening, June 20. The ceremony will be performed by Dr. J. H. Brendall.
The bride will be attended by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Percy B. Stokes, of Kings Mountain, as dame of honor; Miss Margaret Lane, of Mt. Vernon Springs, as maid of honor, and four bridesmaids, Misses Lelia Chandler, Annie Stacy, Virginia Ferrell and Frances Rawley, of Reidsville.
Master E. C. Wright will be the ring bearer and little Miss Nancy Fitzgerald, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Fitzgerald, of Pelham, will be flower girl.
Paul V. Fitzgerald, of Pelham, will be the bridegroom’s best man. Ben R. Fitzgerald, Dr. John J. Neal, of Danville, T. D. Stokes, of Lexington, and Dick Stokes, of Ruffin, will be groomsmen.
