Ruffin, NC - H. Douglas Smith, 50, of 811 Burton Road died Sunday, February 25, 2007. Doug was born in Stanley County and was a member of Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church and a maintenance electrician for the Equity Group.

Survivors include his wife, Pam Johnson Smith of the home; daughters, Bonnie Raver and husband, Nate of Winston-Salem and Tiffany Smith of the home; grandchildren, Autumn Butner, Justin Raver and Kaitlin Jones; parents, Johnnie and Mildred Smith of King; sisters, Melba Fogleman and husband, Wayne of Murrrells Inlet, SC and Pamela Wrenn and husband J.V. of King; father and mother-in-law, Walter and Becky Johnson of Ruffin.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Tillman officiating. Interment will follow at Mr. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 from 7:00-9:00pm and other times at the residence.
