Donald Keith Blackwell (c.1963-2010)

Nov 03, 2010 (The Caswell Messenger): Reidsville - Donald Keith Blackwell, Sr., 47, died Sunday, October 31, 2010. He was a member of Brown's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and was employed by Griffin Construction Company. As an avid sportsman, he was a member of the Stoney Creek Baseball Team and enjoyed fishing. His father, James Robert Blackwell and grandson, Michael Thaxton, preceded him in death.

Survivors are: one daughter, Dorothy Blackwell; sons, Donald, Jr., Daniel and Dave Blackwell; grandchildren, Emonie, Taffarri and Danaria; beloved mother, Eunice Pinnix Blackwell; devoted lifetime friend, Paula Hall; three sisters, Daphne Williamson (Ronnie), Wilma King (Wilbert) and Linda Faye Jones; four brothers, Jimmy Blackwell (Beverly), Gary Blackwell (Margie), Franklin Blackwell (Ailean) and Alvin Blackwell (Maranda); a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a multitude of cherished friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2010 from the Brown's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Gibsonville, with Pastor Thurman L. Pinnix and Rev. Thomas W. Williamson presiding. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:30 until 2:00 p.m. at the church and may be contacted other times at 2336 Camp Spring Road. Funeral arrangements are by Johnson & Sons.
